I'm new to ASP. I have been searching on other forums for ages, but they don't seem to help.
What i wanted to know is, i want to create a website that has ASP features (Login, Signup, Edit Profile), so i would like to know the code to connect to a Database (access 2000) and how to read from a table.
Thanks in Advance.
Peace

Hello there.
Just to let you know, there are THOUSANDS of places for what you are looking for.
I do however understand your dilema, for I have been beating my head against the wall ( the monitor is too fragile and dangerous ) for people to help me with simple down to earth assistance.
Instead, I get people who know way too much about this stuff for their own health, and are very nice to assist when possible, BUT I have NO IDEA what the heck they are talking about when they start typing.
I, like you, am a newbie to ASP, so therefore, I shall try and help you my fellow newbie.
Here are a couple of sites that I have refered to in the past.

Good luck!

Hi all,
1. I can use the HTML link below to go to MSN's Deluxe Screener online to do a stock screener run:
http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor/finder/customstocks.asp?Query=SV1QS10F406Z04%22A%22S98F4Z07F9994ZS11F402Z04%228%22F107Z04L%2d99ZF140Z04L%2d99ZF225Z04L%2d99ZF151Z04L%2d99Z&Name=MMM%5f1&Tickers=100
2. This takes me to an HTML page which has an ActiveX window displaying the results. I can manually go Edit> Copy on the Deluxe Screener menu to copy the results on the Clipboard from where I can paste back on my PC Excel spreadsheet.
3. But if I want to record an Excel macro, the mouseclicks on the menu online are not recorded, so the data is not copied.
4. Since I need to automate the task (many screener runs and Excel number crunching), what is a programmatic solution? I believe that MSN has a separate data source for such screened data tables, but can this be directly accessed somehow via PC software (Excel 2002/Office XP)? MSN Help online via e-mail hasn't been much help.
Regards,
athar mian
