URGENT HELP

Please can anyone provide help quickly, have downloaded the shopping cart script, with the access file to go with it. But have decided to add more items for customers to add to cart, as am doing something very similar for a project, i added these item into the database, which is now displayed successfully on the site, but when a corresponding add to basket link is clicked, it doesn't actually add these new items to the basket. PLEASE IS THERE ANY HELP THAT CAN BE PROVIDED.
